Oman Energy and Water Exhibition and Conference 2017, on May 1st – 3rd, 2017

NEEDS had participated in the Oman Energy and Water Exhibition and Conference 2017, on May 1st – 3rd, 2017 which was held in Oman Convention & Exhibition Center, in Muscat – Oman.

The OEW event annual conference and specialized exhibition offer a platform for stakeholders to discuss issues and solutions to the energy and water challenges and opportunities, and for improved collaboration among key sectors in both public and private to share information and to forge joint initiatives.
NEEDS Consulting and Engineering Department Manager, engineer Hisham AboulHosn, was a speaker among the number of delegate companies with high expertise in Smart Grid and Smart Utilities, who have been invited to speak at the event. Eng. Aboulhosn presented the Smart Metering Roadmap, navigating the course for the successful AMI implementation. The presentation focuses on the Distribution Service Provider project AMI case study which was implemented in Lebanon.

NEEDS Booth displayed in this event the company smart milestone history, the Digital Utility Concept, introducing NEEDS Consulting and Engineering services, NEEDS Efficient and Smart Energy Program, and NEEDS E-Learning Electronic Platform. Our team exposed to the visitors the company’s involvement in the Digital Transformation technologies, proficiency in the Digital Utility era reaching the Smart Grid, passing by NEEDS SMARTi solutions and services, to NEEDS SOrCE E-Learning solutions, covering all aspects of NEEDS expertise. The projected demonstrations in the booth summarized the company’s contribution on utility evolution, the specifics of the smart metering project deployment, the smart grid development in the area, NEEDS sustainable solutions and a storyboard on E-Learning.


NEEDS Booth was visited by many local and international stakeholders, decision makers, industry professionals, professional experts, researcher/academic organizations, delegate companies, and practitioners in the field of Smart Grids, Green Information and Communication Technologies, as well as International Manufacturers, Contractors and Technology Providers, coming from various countries such as Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Lebanon, France and USA.
